HK Trip Part I

I'm supposed to blog abt my HK trip!

Anw all I can say is tt it was ABSOLUTELY amazing.. taking a ship there seems so boring, but i can't believe i enjoyed every single minute of it! In fact, I felt a bit sad when I left the ship.. =(

Here're the photos!

That's me and my colleague, we shared a room together. she's nice. =) Check out that flight of stairs up the ship. That was DAMN SHAKY and to add on to tt, i'm afraid of heights and steep stairs so by the time i reached the deck, I was breaking out in cold sweat and my heart was thumping like MAD.

The name of the vessel...
The second day, we were on the deck.. this is the front, where we could do the titanic pose. But the wind was toooo strong, I was so scared i'll fall into the sea that I had to grab the sides.
On the left is the anchor, a bit rusty. and the greenish thing you see is called the bulbous bulb. It's actually to break the water so that the ship can sail fast. You may say that that bulb thingy should be a sharp pointed one so that it can break open the water easily, but you're wrong.. research shows that a bulb shaped one is more effective. if you know wad i'm saying..if not, just note that the water is really clear.
Check out my hair. Testimony to how strong the wind was. We're out at the bridge to admire the glowing moon lighting up the shimmering waters..

A life boat...

Inside the lifeboat.. lifeboats are actually mostly enclosed. And there're biscuits inside.
Beautiful sunrise.. but partly blocked by clouds.. (there's a ship in distance)
Finally, I see Hong Kong!

Ocean Park! View from the sea, a view you will never get to see from.
This is the hotel room! It's really posh and I felt so warm under the covers!

许留山... The best mango dessert i've ever tasted!

Outside the Mexican restaurant.. the most romantic place ever. With the two talented guitarists.

Blogger loads photos sooo slowly... i'll cont w the HK blog! Ciaoo~

About Napping.

I'm back to blogging again!

And it's because I'm ON 3 DAYS LEAVE! i've not stepped into office since feb 15! What a good feeling!

I took a nap last afternoon.. all I can say is that it felt THOROUGHLY GREAT and better than striking TOTO. I was jus lazing around in the living room, and I thought i'll just lie down on the sofa (mind you, i can still enjoy the nap even tho it's just the sofa) for a while.. then i just dozed off.. obviously I had happy dreams. It was abt 2pm and tho a lil stuffy (i forgot to on the fan), I still had such a good time sleeping. Seriously, when was the last time i took a nap?!

I woke up, feeling the most satisfied i've ever been since i started working. But after a while, I felt a lil sad cos I won't have the chance to nap for quite some time again. Napping on weekends/public holidays dun count. I just love the feeling of the world moving ahead quickly while I can dun give a damn and nap like no one's business. Anw back to feeling sad. I remember that the past 22 years of my life, I could nap whenever I want to. In pri sch, I dun nap much.. cos i liked to watch the re-runs of those channel 8 drama serials. In sec sch, i nap a lot.. cos the journey from cedar girls' to tampines tire me out a lot.. in JC.. 2 out of 3 days are long days.. so i cut down on napping.. In uni.. napping happens anytime, anywhere.

Now.. napping is impossible.. And i start to feel that working is such a scary thing. It takes away so many of our precious routines.. and perhaps, after a while, take away those memories and feelings. Something as simple as napping, sth that nv even occured to me tt i should cherish it, is soo soo impt now and can actually bring back so many memories...

Tmr's friday.. 3 days later i'll be back in office again! Somebody set fire to the building pls... I don't want to work! =(

"Hong Kong! Here I come!!!!!"

In less than 10 hours, I will be boarding vessel APL Cyprine! Though it is a gruelling(we're gg against the north easterly wind) 3 days sail... it's a once in a lifetime experience that I ought to enjoy! The thought of getting sea sick is of course scary, but the excitment of gg overseas for work purposes is tremendous... =D

Friends who are still reading this, I will try my mighty best to get sth for you! But no promises.. cos I will be on land for only abt 2.5 days, of which almost 1.5 days are spent in the HK office.

Yc has been really nice, cos he introduced his hk friend to me! So when I go over, there's someone to take me around. =) Yippie. THankssss yc~

I haven finished packing my luggage. CAn you believe it my luggage is filled, and on top of that I have another huge bag just to put in my warm clothing. It's like freezing 11-14 degrees C there, I dont want to freeze like how mabel freezed the other time... I'm so reminded of this really cute thing that she bought - it keeps hands warm in times of need!

I hope I wont forget to pack anything impt.. I'm so tired now actually, eyes are almost closing...

The only pity is that I will miss my dad's birthday, and also the hall 14 CNY dinner. yar lor. sorry gals, can't join u all this time round.

I'll blog again when i'm back!
